Three local students were among those recognized by U.S. Rep. Chip Roy through the 2026 Exceptional Senior Award program.
The award recognizes high school seniors across Texas’ 21st Congressional District for demonstrating character, leadership, integrity and diligence through academic achievement, community involvement and service.
“I am proud of all that the incredible young men and women of Texas’ 21st Congressional District have achieved,” Roy said in a statement. “Texans have reason to be optimistic about our great state’s destiny with them as our future leaders.”
Roy also thanked the families and educators who supported the students throughout their educational journeys.
Local recipients included:
• Ellison Tatsch, Fredericksburg High School
• Gabriel Williams, Heritage School
• Mari Williams, Harper High School
The Exceptional Senior Award is in its seventh year.
