Morning Rotary donates to Hickerson scholarship fund

The Rotary Club of Fredericksburg Morning recently made a $2,500 contribution to the Bob Hickerson Memorial Scholarship Fund. The fund is managed by the “Forging Futures Education Fund”.

Morning Rotary board member, Marc Bennett stated “Bob Hickerson was a lifelong Rotarian and a member of this club for many years. He was the founder of our “Kraut Run”, and managed this successful fundraiser for many years. The Kraut Run has funded many, scholarships and the board jumped at the opportunity to help fund Bob’s scholarship program that has been set up in his name by the Forging Futures Education Fund.”

The Bob Hickerson Memorial Scholarship Fund is awarded to a Gillespie County student or resident who exemplifies outstanding dedication to their community. For more information or to apply, email Megan@forgingfutures.org.
