Taelynn Tatsch of the Harper Ladyhorns varsity girls softball team signed to play softball at the collegiate level this coming year at Northern Oklahoma College in Enid, Oklahoma.
Tatsch will pursue a degree in agribusiness while playing softball next spring.
“Taelynn (Tatsch) lettered all four years of high school,” Harper Head softball coach Kenny King said. “In her senior year, she hit .635 to set a school record. She scored 42 runs, drove in 43 runs, hit five doubles, three triples, walked 14 times, five intentional.
“Taelynn (Tatsch) also homered 12 times to set a school record. For her high school career, she hit .502, hit 16 home runs, 26 doubles, 11 triples, walked 42 times, scored 130 runs, had 105 RBI, and stole 45 bases.”
Tatsch received numerous postseason awards with more still expected later this summer.
“Taelynn (Tatsch) was named first team all-district in each of her first three years,” King said. “For her senior year, she was named the Co-Offensive Player of the Year for the district. After her junior season, Taelynn played in the TGCA All-Star Game, an honor that only 50 players statewide receive.
“She has been nominated for and should receive other state and regional honors to be awarded in June and July. We are all proud of what Taelynn (Tatsch) has and will accomplish.”
