The Hill Country Master Gardeners and Gillespie County AgriLife Extension Office is inviting the community to view three demonstration areas as part of the Parade of Garden on Monday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Demonstration areas showcase locally adapted plants that need little to no water. The event offers the opportunity to see what these plants will look like at bloom as well as how big they get. Master Gardeners will be onsite to answer questions.
The Parade of Gardens will take place at three locations: Staudt-Jenschke house at 320 West San Antonio St., the garden at Bridge Church at 224 FM 2093 and the Dr. Lipe Memorial Garden located at 1906 North Llano St. All locations are in Fredericksburg.
Each location will offer a garden stamp card. After visiting all three locations and getting the card stamped, participants will be entered for a $50 dollar gift card drawing from Friendly Natives Plant Nursery. This program is free. For additional questions, contact Beth McMahon at 830-997-3452.
