Santa will get lots of help with five visits

Santa will be appearing at numerous places throughout Gillespie County this holiday season. He’s getting help from stand-ins in the area.

Here is a listing a few places he’ll be visiting.

Wednesday, Dec. 10 – Santa will be at the Grand Holiday on the Great Lawn from 4-6 p.m. There will also be treats and sweets from local artisans and festive music by Diego Martinez and the Fredericksburg High School Choir. The location is Grand Central at Milam, 206 N. Milam St., Fredericksburg.

Thursday, Dec. 11 – The Stonewall Chamber of Commerce and Los Cazadores will host Santa at 14887 U.S. 290, Stonewall.

Saturday, Dec. 13 – Frantzen-Ahrens Post 7105 Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and its Auxiliary will host Santa Claus at a free event set for 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 at the hall, 710 S. Washington St. Parents are invited to bring their children for pictures with Santa and enjoy milk and cookies. For more information, contact Pat Hamilton at 830-997-5017.

Wednesday, Dec. 17 – Santa will be visiting Pioneer Memorial Library from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The library is located at 115 W. Main St., Fredericksburg.

Saturday, Dec. 20 – Santa will fly in to the Gillespie County Airport and will visit from 1-3 p.m. at 191 Airport Road, Fredericksburg. Crosswind Aviation will be helping people take photos with Santa in an airplane. There will also be a choir and beverages for attendees.
