The band department in the Fredericksburg Independent School District (FISD) has become one of the best programs in the region. In the last five years, Fredericksburg High School (FHS) band enrollment has grown by 70 students. At the middle school, 50 new students have joined. This year, every band across FISD’s middle and high school programs won superior Division I ratings at University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitions – earning both campuses prestigious UIL sweepstakes awards.
