The Fredericksburg City Council unanimously approved a new fee schedule for short-term rental (STR) applications Tuesday morning, and it heard a presentation from local volunteer Dr. Eric Hammersen regarding the 175th anniversary celebration of Fort Martin Scott.

The city’s Director of Development Services Anna Hudson presented the list of fees that will cover time, software and equipment related to assessing STR permits, assuming an average of 1,000 STR permits in the city limits.
