Camp Mystic withdraws application for new 2026 summer camp license

Below is a statement provided by Camp Mystic, a girls’ summer camp near Kerrville where 25 campers, two counselors and the camp director died in the catastrophic flooding of the Guadalupe River on July 4, 2025. The camp was pursuing a state license to operate again this summer.
