DECEMBER 3, 1975

Santa Claus will make his annual swing through Fredericksburg Saturday morning as he rides down Main Street on a Fredericksburg Volunteer Fire Department truck. Afterward, he will be at the gazebo on the Courthouse Square to visit with his admirers.

Children ages 3-8 are invited to attend St. Nicholas Day which will be celebrated Saturday at Pioneer Museum.

The fifth annual Gillespie County Pecan Show will be held Friday and Saturday at the Agriculture Building.

A large crowd attended the Damenfest held Saturday night at Pioneer Pavilion at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. Super grand prize winner of the Dressmaker sewing machine and cabinet was Rose Leifeste. Katherine Dietel won the $250 cash door prize. Grand hostess for this year’s event was Mary Faulk Koock.

Richard (Dick) and Laney Bristol are the new owners of the Western Auto Associate Store at 150 East Main Street. They purchased the business from Philip Vogel and Maurice Schuman.

CarolynFayKetronand Eugene Ray Whitehead were united in marriage Saturday evening, Nov. 29, at Bethany Lutheran Church.

Nina Louise Nixon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor L. Nixon was a visiting duchess in the San Antonio Lutheran Charity Court Coronation Nov. 15, at the Municipal Auditorium. She portrayed the Duchess of Perpetual Motion.

Two boys and four girls were born at Hill Country Memorial Hospital during the past week. Boys were born to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lehmberg, Mason, Nov. 24, and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Underwood, Mason, Nov. 28. Girls were born to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sultemeier, Johnson City, Nov. 24; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Beaver, Nov. 26; Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Ransleben, Nov. 27, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Burns, Kingsland, Nov. 28.

The Cave Creek 4-H Club’s second annual Slave Day is Saturday. Club members will do just about anything that needs doing, including housework, window washing, leaf raking, garage cleaning, mowing and trimming or other tasks.

The junior and senior girls at Fredericksburg High School will knock heads together tomorrow evening at FHS Stadium for the Billie Booster Club’s annual Powder Puff Football Game.
