The Willow City Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department will hold its monthly general membership business meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 6 at the fire station, 2553 Ranch Road 1323.
Agenda items include the department’s annual fundraiser, to be held Saturday, May 3 from 3-8 p.m. Activities will include live and silent auctions, prize drawings, a country store booth of handcrafted and home baked items and an evening barbecue meal.

Any resident in the Willow City response area who is interested in volunteering and joining the department is invited to attend the monthly first Thursday business meeting.
The Willow City Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department is a volunteer non-profit organization of firefighters, medical first responders and auxiliary members serving the 335 square miles of northcentral and northeastern response area of Gillespie County and provides mutual aid to adjoining areas into Llano and Blanco counties.

Willow City club sets meeting for Friday
The monthly meeting of the Willow City Community Club will be Friday, March 7 at 6:45 p.m. at the Willow City School Building, 2501 Ranch Road 1323.
A short business meeting will be held first, followed by games of 42 dominoes and socializing.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish, snack or dessert to share, as well as their own beverages.
Guests and new members are welcome.
Annual membership dues for 2025 are $10 and may be paid at the meeting.
The Willow City School will also participate in the Country Schools Open House Tour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 22. All are invited to visit and learn about the former rural schools’ histories.
