The Fredericksburg High School varsity girls’ basketball team advanced to the Regional Finals after defeating Beeville Jones Tuesday night, 88-27.

FHS jumped out to a 36-0 lead before Beeville scored its first bucket of the game with 6:30 left in the second quarter.

The Billies (30-6 overall) are ranked No. 3 in the latest Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) Class 4A basketball poll and will face No. 7 San Antonio Davenport at 6:30 p.m. Friday night at Boerne Champion High School. The winner of this game will advance to the Class 4A State Tournament to be held at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Friday, Feb. 28.
