Women of Gillespie County pursuing educational opportunities in hospitality, culinary and beverage industries, can apply for the Austin chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier grants through Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Scholarship winners will be announced in March. This funding from the international culinary leadership organization supports the growth of careers, ongoing studies, and business needs for women in hospitality, culinary and beverage.

In addition to providing scholarships, the Austin Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier hosts education, mentoring and networking events for both members and non-members, supports local philanthropic initiatives such as weekly food runs, Posada Esperanza, Green Corn Project, and its annual holiday dinner for the unhoused.

To date, the group has awarded $335,000 in scholarships and continuing education stipends.
