New nonprofit seeks to empower women in wine industry

Grafted, a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplift women in the wine industry, will host a community event on Tuesday, Jan. 28 for women in the wine industry.

Miara Shaw will be the keynote speaker of the “Thinking Outside the Bottle” event taking place at Swallows Eve, 1411 Lower Crabapple Road, Fredericksburg from 2-6:30 p.m.

The leadership development speaker’s goal is creating work-life balance.

Her session called “Uncork. Your Potential: Crushing Comfort Zones and Pouring into Your Goals” will help participants master taking microsteps, balancing ambition and wellbeing and activating an accountability circle.

Tickets for the event are $30 per individual.

There are also opportunities to sponsor the event. Contact Ingris Stoessel at graft edtx@gmail.com for more information.

Grafted is a personal and professional development organization focused on enriching the community of women in wine.

The new nonprofit organization was made possible through donations and support on its own and through Texas Wine Auction.

Their mission is to empower, educate and to provide engaging and equitable spaces for each other. Their aim is to sustain women to confidently own their positions as leaders, students and advocates of Texas wine.
