Ladyhorns 1-3 in early district matches

Over the past week and a half, the Harper Ladyhorns varsity basketball team has had a series of difficult matchups.

As of publication, the team is 17-6 for the 202425 season, and 1-3 in district, with more competitive matchups ahead.

Concho Valley Tournament

Overall, the Ladyhorns went 2-2 at the Concho Valley Tournament on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 26-27.

The team’s first match was a close loss to Blackwell, 38-31.

The same day, Ladyhorns dominated a team from down under, Australia, winning 61-33.

Friday’s games brought another close match, this time, a 33-31 win over Robert Lee, for Harper.

The team’s final game was a loss, 44-34, against Irion County.

Goldwaithe

On Tuesday, Dec. 31, Harper lost to Goldthwaite, 49-34. The night’s lead scorer was Alli Price, with 14 points.

On Friday, Jan. 3, the Ladyhorns fell to Johnson City in a razor-thin match, 49-48.

The top scorers were Alli Price with 16 points and Kenna Herrmann with 11.
