4-Hers head to state

Seven Gillespie County 4-H students qualified for State 4-H Roundup competition in Bryan-College Station June 2-5.

Bella Sione, Emma Geistweidt, Rayleigh Beyer and the team of Addison Hahn, Brodie Roeder, Reese Sagebiel and Pecos Worrell all qualified for competition on the campus of Texas A&M University during the District 10 4-H Fall Roundup in Kerrville on Dec. 4-6.

Food Challenge

Junior Main Dish: 1. Team Flour Power members: Leighton Haley, Hallie Halfmann, Eden Hensley and Rory Knight.

Intermediate Appetizer: 3. Team We’re Cooked: Claire Eilers, Hans Husfeld, Rowan Matthes and Frankie Villanueva.

Intermediate Healthy Dessert: 1. Team Eggxllent Foodies: Carter Cathey, Owen Halfmann, Aidan Hawkins and Allison Lindig.
