Week of wrecks: Nine minor, no major

The Fredericksburg Police Department (FPD) responded to nine minor accidents between Nov. 25 and Dec. 1.

The Fredericksburg Police Department (FPD) responded to nine minor accidents between Nov. 25 and Dec. 1.

On Monday, Nov. 25, an officer was dispatched to the intersection of West Nimitz and North Milam streets for a minor traffic accident. No accident was found; only a vehicle that had a flat tire.

On Monday, Nov. 25, an officer was dispatched to South Milam and West Main streets for a report of a two-vehicle minor traffic accident. No injuries were reported. Both drivers were given driver exchange forms.

On Tuesday, Nov. 26, an officer was dispatched to 407 South Adams Street in regard to a two-vehicle minor traffic accident. No injuries were reported. Both drivers were given driver exchange forms.

On Tuesday, Nov. 26, an officer was dispatched to 1435 East Main Street in regard to a two-vehicle minor traffic accident. No injuries were reported. The driver of unit one was issued a warning for disregard official traffic control device. Both drivers were provided with driver exchange forms.

On Wednesday, Nov. 27, an officer was dispatched to the intersection of South Washington Street and Friendship Lane for a report of a two-vehicle minor traffic accident. No injuries were reported. Both drivers were given driver exchange forms.

On Wednesday, Nov. 27, a call came in regarding a minor traffic accident. The accident was determined to be in the county. No further assistance was needed.

On Wednesday, Nov. 27, an officer spoke with a complainant regarding a hit and run at 407 South Adams Street that occurred on Nov. 26, in the parking lot. The manager was able to see video footage of the accident. This report will be forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division in an attempt to identify the suspect.

On Saturday, Nov. 30, an officer was dispatched to the 100 block of North Lincoln Street for a report of a two-vehicle minor traffic accident. No injuries were reported. Both drivers were given driver exchange forms.

On Sunday, Dec. 1, an officer was dispatched to 118 West Driftwood Drive in regard to a minor accident involving two mailboxes. The officer then met with the driver that had hit the mailboxes and was advised they were going to the houses to put a letter in their boxes with their information. No injuries were reported. A driver exchange form was completed and provided to all the parties involved.

On Sunday, Dec. 1, an officer was dispatched to U.S. 87 North and Balcones Drive to assist with a hit and run. The accident was a county call. No further action was needed.
