PUMPED

Fredericksburg High School marching band won the UIL 4A Area D Marching Band Contest on Saturday at Pflugerville with a perfect score (five ones). FHS Director of Bands Brian Hecimovich pumps his fists as he walks through the spirit tunnel made by FHS Band Boosters and parents to send off the members. He’ll take the band to State Marching Band Championships on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Alamodome. See page C3. — Standard-Radio Post/Christine Granados
