Gillespie County Sheriff ’s Office deputies were dispatched on Thursday, March 7, at 1:36 a.m., to a residence on Painter Lane for a report of a disturbance where a firearm was displayed. The complainant was waiting outside for deputies to arrive. Deputies learned that the complainant, who was highly intoxicated, was staying on the property with the owner’s permission. The property owner had retrieved a firearm to protect himself and his wife from the complainant. The complainant, Martin Gonzales, 49, of Fredericksburg, was placed under arrest for public intoxication.
