FHS golfers heating up after good finish at Wimberley Invitational
The Fredericksburg High School girls and boys varsity golf teams played in the Wimberley Invitational Golf Tournament at Double J Ranch Golf Course in Wimberley last week.
The girls team placed second overall and the boys team placed third.
Team members described the course conditions as being tough.
The boys team competed on a cold and windy day Tuesday, with the girls competing under warmer conditions Wednesday.
Lewie Melton and Lincoln Staats shot 78 apiece and tied for third place overall.
