Eight Fredericksburg High School athletes signed a letter of intent on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at the FHS Performance Gym to play on university and college athletic teams.

Feb. 7 is the first day student-athletes can officially sign a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to commit to an institution, according to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

The NLI is a voluntary program for both athletes and colleges.
