Long-term memorial headstone business gets new owners
Southwest Granite has been located at 408 Granite Ave. but is expected to change locations shortly after the ownership change.
Southwest Granite Co. has been making headstones for 104 years, according to long-time owner Joe Moellendorf. That puts the business closer in years to the founding of Fredericksburg than the present.
But the long-storied business will soon be passed to new owners, Bill and Marty Harkleroad.
