Fredericksburg Police Department officers are investigating a shooting death that occurred near midnight last night at the Kwik Chek Store at 1001 South State Highway 16 (South Adams Street).

Police said a man entered the store wearing a dark-colored, hooded sweatshirt, ball cap, blue jeans and gloves and carrying a duffel bag. Lt. Derek Seelig said he is probably about 5-foot-8.
