Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce staff, board of directors and members will honor outgoing president and CEO Penny McBride from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Chamber building at 306 E. Austin Street.

The come-and-go reception will honor McBride, who is retiring after 13 years as the organization’s leader. She grew membership to 900-plus, a feat for a small town of 13,000. McBride also writes a weekly column for the Standard-Radio Post, which will publish her final article next week.
