At Saturday’s Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) meeting, Ethan Crane, owner and operator of FBO at the Gillespie County Airport, informed attendees of the increasingly banned use of tetraethyl lead and the alternative unleaded fuel created by Oklahoma-based General Aviation Modifications Inc. (GAMI).

The TacAero Maintenance Hangar was filled with club members who discussed the decades-long evolving of aviation fuel (avfuel or avgas) changes for a lead-free future.
