Mass gathering permit denied

The mass gathering permit application issued to Gillespie County by Wine Country, LLC, an organization planning a music festival to be held in Albert in April 2024, was denied on Thursday, Sept. 14 by County Judge Daniel Jones.

The judgement came following a public hearing involving spokespersons representing Wine Country and residents of Albert, a hearing that lasted from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
