CALLING IT A CAREER
Patricia Bosquez, seated with husband Sammy, was honored with a luncheon and reception with Fredericksburg Independent School District officials and employees with whom she worked over her 45-year career. She is pictured with Supt. Joe Rodriguez and trustees Brian Lehne and Mark Cornett. Former Superintendent Marc Williamson was present and said he and Bosquez came to the district in 1978. “We were together at the new teacher and staff orientation, since then, she’s literally had just about every job in the district. And she knows how to do just about everything,” Williamson said. “I think the reason she’s been so successful at the end of the day is that she has a great heart.” Bosquez ends her career as the administrative assistant and said she would miss being around the campus and students. But she pointed to other administrators and staff and said they were integral to making sure everything keeps running from year to year. “In administration, there is no break and when we celebrate that one year is finished, it’s right on to the next. I’ve been in it for the long haul and I’ll miss that,” she said. — Standard-Radio Post/Ken Esten Cooke
