Riley sworn in as new elections director

The new elections administrator for Gillespie County was sworn in during the regular meeting of the Gillespie County Commissioners Court on Monday morning.

Jim Riley was approved for hire during the Aug. 14 commissioners court meeting. Prior to Riley’s hiring, county elections were managed by County Clerk Lindsey Brown. Riley will now oversee the county’s election process including the upcoming Constitutional Amendment Election to be held on Nov. 7, this year.
