La Tequila Jalisco owner Brandon Hernandez opened Taquería Machetes at 326 East Main Street July 20 and has made thousands of tacos since.

The concept for the taqueria is based off of what he grew up with in Jesús Maria, Jalisco in Mexico. His father owned a taqueria in his hometown, and Hernandez uses some of the same recipes he learned as a boy, in addition to creations he whipped up with co-owner and manager Brandon Romo.
