EAA VISITS OSHKOSH
Members of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 1088 of Fredericksburg, gathered at AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the biggest aviation event in the world, with visitors from almost 100 countries. There were an estimated 40,000 aircraft and drive-in visitors and a total of about 600,000 attendees. This year, the largest number ever of Fredericksburg residents attended, either flying in and tent camping by their airplanes or traveling with their motorhome or camper. Members attend forums, workshops and presentations hosted throughout the week, daily airshows in the afternoon and a night airshow one evening.
