Meals on Wheels at the Golden Hub Community Center has experienced a shortage since the spring, and its volunteers are overextended. The program is accepting new helpers to drive routes and deliver meals.

“A lot of ‘winter Texans’ leave for the summer,” Meals on Wheels (MOW) Coordinator Stephanie Borda said. “I have to get those [routes] covered. A lot of my substitutes have stepped up and are taking care of those routes, until my winter Texans get back.”
