World’s Largest Swim Lesson encourages safety

Thursday, June 22, the newly renovated Perry and Ruby Stevens Health and Wellness Center hosted the annual world-wide Largest Swim Lesson.

The event began in 2010 as a means to spread awareness about pool safety and has since continued, now taking place in six continents.

Swimming is a critical skill to have, no matter the reason a person chooses to do it, Diane Patteson and Felicia Kendrick, hosts of the event, said.
