Newton Houy, 92, of Fredericksburg, died Monday, June 12, 2023.

Graveside services were held Thursday, June 22, at Greenwood Cemetery.

Houy was born Jan. 22, 1931, the son of Eli and Minda Durst Houy. He married Verna Mae Roeder on Oct. 10, 1959, at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. She died June 10, 2021.

Houy is survived by three daughters, one son and spouses, Sharon and Jim McMahon, Patricia and Glen Davis, Robert and Kimber Houy, and Debbie Weber; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Betty Rabke, Nathalie Sims and Dorlene Teltow.
