Native Bees, Bee Habitat workshop to precede Pollinator Week

Ahead of Pollinator Week, June 19-25, the Friends of Fredericksburg Nature Center hosted a Native Bees and Bee Habitat workshop Friday, June 16 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office.

Senior Program Specialist Molly Keck, Integrated Pest Management Board Certified Entomologist from the AgriLife Extension Program, gave a presentation about bees. She discussed their preferred habitat, importance to the ecosystem and how to promote healthy populations.
