PCAA Musical Evenings to feature Soul Sessions

The Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance is hosting a free evening of music featuring Soul Sessions at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 25, at the Adelsverein Halle at Marktplatz.

The Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance is hosting a free evening of music featuring Soul Sessions at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 25, at the Adelsverein Halle at Marktplatz.

The PCAA uses the proceedsfromOktoberfest to support organizations doing art related projects, scholarships for students who pursue college courses in the creative arts such as music and theater, and PCAA Musical Evenings.

Attendees are asked to bring chairs, friends, snacks and drinks for an evening of live music, celebration and dancing.

Soul Sessions is a unique group of Central Texas’ top R&B, soul and funk musicians. The musicians who participate in the Soul Sessions Motown tribute shows have played with The Temptations, The Four Tops, Lionel Ritchie & The Commodores, Diana Ross & The Supremes, BB King, The Drifters and other performers.

PCAA members and Gillespie County residents volunteer their time to help organize and staff Oktoberfest. To thank volunteers for their efforts, PCAA sponsors a series of Musical Evenings held on one Sunday a month, between April and September, at the Adelsverein Halle.

PCAA has been hosting the Musical Evening series for more than 35 years and they are an opportunity to socialize and enjoy open-air live music. The entertainment runs from 6:30-8:15 p.m.

Future PCAA Musical Evenings Series are on July 23 featuring Georgia Parker, Aug. 27 featuring Floyd Domino and Sept. 17 featuring Bob Appel.
