Local golfer breaks course record at Blanco club

A 19-year-old local golfer made history at the Vaaler Creek Golf Club in Blanco on May 27. Fredericksburg local Truett Burns broke a 10-plus-year-old course record on Friday, shooting a 61 with his coach, Edwin Dickens, present. Burns birdied nine of his first 10 holes and shot a -11 on a par 72 layout. Burns
