Two Billies swimmers set for TISCA meet
The Fredericksburg High School swim team competed in the Northside ISD Fall Invitational on Nov. 18 at the NISD Aquatics Complex in San Antonio. FHS’ combined boys’ and girls’ finishes were good enough for fifth place.
The boys finished third and the girls finished sixth. Tony Martinez earned a gold medal in the boys’ 100 freestyle and Mia Stenberg finished first in the 50-yard backstroke.
Martinez and Troy Kneese are set to compete in the Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association Meet at Palo Alto College this Friday and Saturday, Dec. 1-2. Each swimmer will compete in three events.
In order to qualify for the TISCA meet, high school swimmers must have qualifying times that rank among the best in the state of Texas in all divisions.
