Spikers down Wimberley, eye Sonora and Devine

The Fredericksburg High School volleyball team got its 15th win of the season by taking down Wimberley High School in three sets, 25-22, 25-16 and 25-16, on Friday, Sept. 8, in Wimberley.

“We were able to play the entire team that night and still come out on top,” head coach Kaci Rittimann said.

The Billies are 15-5 overall, heading into Tuesday night’s match-up against Sonora, a Class 3A team ranked No. 25 by the Texas Girls Coaches Association.

Junior Rose Stuewe led the team in kills with nine, followed by seniors Madi Wahrmund and Aubrey Sultemeier each with eight.

Senior Ali Grona led the team in kills with seven and senior Grace Allen had five.
