Local players win six brackets in Dr Pepper/Tennis Outlet Open

Six local entries won titles in the 32nd annual Dr Pepper/Tennis Outlet Open on Friday through Sunday in Fredericksburg.

The three-day tournament, which Fredericksburg Tennis Association hosted at the H-E-B Tennis Center at Fredericksburg High School and the Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park tennis courts, featured 83 singles participants and 41 doubles pairs playing in 15 different brackets.

Fredericksburg players Jack Stephens (U12 boys’ singles) and Anna Terry (U12 girls’ singles) won titles in the tournament.

David Lindsay/Ben Sparks (U14 boys’ doubles), Olivia Alvarez/Morgan Sales (U14 girls’ doubles), Avery Stephens/Jaci Spies (U18 girls’ doubles) and Alvarez/Lindsay (U14 mixed doubles) also won their respective brackets.
