Harper splits last two volleyball matches
Harper's varsity volleyball team split the two matches it played last week, beating San Antonio Stacey 3-0 on the road Friday after losing 3-1 at Hondo on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
The Ladyhorns will now host Medina on Friday, starting at 4 p.m. when the junior varsity teams square off, followed by varsity action short after the first competition.
Results from last night's match between Harper and visiting San Antonio Lee were not available by this week's publication deadline.
Harper 3, SA Stacey 0
Keeley Marschall recorded eight kills to help Harper turn back San Antonio Stacey by a 3-0 margin (25-16, 25-9, 25-12) Friday evening.
Teammate Jayd Esquell added another six kills along with four aces.
As a team, the Ladyhorns had five players register 50 out of 50 services — Quinn Stevenson (14/14), Esquell (12/12), Marschall (12/12), Hallie Yates (8/8), and Eve Williams (4/4).
