'Hard work' part of Heritage's girls' basketball season in 2017-18
If last year's season is any indication of future results, then the Lady Eagles’ varsity basketball team from Heritage School might have a good chance for an impressive campaign in 2017-18.
The Lady Eagles return five players from last year's squad that posted a 12-8 record, won its district championship with a 3-1 mark, and advanced to the regional round before getting knocked out of the playoffs by San Antonio Legacy.
Coming back for Heritage this year, expecting to provide a core of experience and leadership are Susanna Harold, Farleigh Kalpak, Mason Barnett, Celia Ashley and Hannah Bray.
According to coach Kevin Perez, the youthful assemblage of new talent for the current squad includes Josie Feign, Alicia Jones, Olivia Loggia, and Katie Chastain.
Every team has an obvious goal at the beginning of every season, and it has something to do with winning the district championship all the way up to the state title.
