The third annual Boot Ranch 5K Fun Run and 4-Mile Hill Challenge takes place Saturday, Nov. 2, to benefit the Boot Ranch Scholarship Fund.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the races start at 9 a.m.
Boot Ranch will welcome walkers, joggers, serious runners and their fans for two events that test their speed and endurance and showcase the Hill Country terrain.
The 5K Fun Run takes place on the Longhorn Trail that extends from the Ranch Club at Boot Ranch to Longhorn Lake and back. The eight-foot-wide scenic trail is paved with a natural aggregate material that’s easy on feet and joints.
Walkers and runners of all ages are welcome.
More serious racers will want to participate in the 4-Mile Hill Challenge around Boot Ranch Circle, which reaches 2,200 feet in elevation and includes seven hills.
Early-bird registration is $35 per person (through Oct. 29), $40 on race day, and kids 12 and under are free. The fee includes a welcome gift package plus breakfast and family activities after the race.
Top male and female challenge finishers will be recognized.
Online registration is now open at www.bootranch5k.com.
