Billies blow past Rebels in Thursday night tilt

The Billies fired on all cylinders against their Class 5A opponent Thursday night.

Fredericksburg High School varsity football beat the Austin Travis Rebels, 59-0, in a Thursday night game at House Park in Austin.

The offense rolled throughout the game and ended the night with 594 total yards of offense and eight touchdowns.

Five players ran for touchdowns and two different quarterback-wide receiver combinations scored for Fredericksburg in the game.

“I thought we did a great job tonight,” senior quarterback Will Flannery said. “We came out really fast and kept on it. We did a great job of staying mentally focused. Our line was dominating up front. Our running backs ran all over the place. It was a great team win.”

Flannery accounted for three total touchdowns (two rushing TDs, one TD pass) and 110 total yards.

Junior running back Willie Sebera rushed for 165 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, and senior running back Tristan Sanchez had 105 total yards and a rushing TD on five offensive touches.
