Billies baseball finds revenge vs Greyhounds
Fredericksburg High School varsity baseball found revenge against the Boerne Greyhounds on Tuesday night.
Riggs Threadgill struck out 13 batters in 6.1 innings pitched, and TJ Tomlinson hit 3 for 4 and closed out the game to help lead FHS to past Boerne, 8-4, on Tuesday, April 10.
FHS' win puts both teams in front of the District 28-4A standings with one loss each.
Don Flannery had three hits and a walk in his four plate appearances Tuesday night, along with three RBIs. Willie Sebera hit a solo home run in the sixth.
The Billies lost to the Boerne Greyhounds, 4-0, on Friday, April 6, to suffer their first District 28-4A defeat of the season.
Hondo visits FHS for a 7 p.m. game on Friday, April 13.
FHS ends its three-game home slate with a match-up with the Geronimo Navarro Panthers on Tuesday, April 17.
The team hits the road against to face Bandera on Friday, April 20, before the home finale against Canyon Lake on Tuesday, April 24.
The Billies end the regular season with a game against Boerne on Friday, April 27, at Boerne.
