Tamayo-Munoz is first baby of '18

New Year, New Addition

Fredericksburg’s first baby of 2018 was welcomed in the early morning on New Year’s Day.

Yahir Tamayo-Muñoz entered the world at 7:19 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1 at Hill Country Memorial, born to Esmeralda and Rigoberto Muñoz, of Fredericksburg.

The baby boy weighed seven pounds, 5.5 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

Welcoming the baby was sister, Jandeiri, 6.  

Dr. Kristi Stafford and registered nurses Maria Rodriguez and Paige Duarte, and certified registered nurse assistant Johnny Eccheverria helped deliver the baby.

Also assisting were Dr. Blair Tull and Mark Scholl.

Rodriquez served as the Muñozs’ nurse, while RN Erin Huff is the HCM Director of Obstetrics.
