Fredericksburg Police Department arrested 12 people and investigated five thefts, two vehicle burglaries and two cases of fraud.
On Monday, Dec. 23, a patrol officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Texas 16 South.
A search of the car was conducted and illegal narcotics were found.
Syndey Marie Armistead was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Devin Anthony Cantu was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana.
Also Monday, an officer responded to the 1000 block of Friendship Lane for a physical disturbance.
Officers arrived and determined that a male and female were involved in the incident.
Marcus Xavier Adams and Ashley Lovato-Flores were arrested and charged with assault family violence.
Later on Monday, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 900 block of Friendship Lane.
The driver failed to provide a driver’s license or correct identifying information.
Rafael Salas Jr. was arrested and charged with failure to exhibit a driver’s license and failure to identify and providing false or fictious information.
On Tuesday, Dec. 24, an officer responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of East Ufer Street.
It was reported that an intoxicated male was causing the issue.
Christopher Nardiello, was placed under arrest for public intoxication.
Later Dec. 24, an officer responded to call in the 600 block of Longhorn Street for assault in which a boyfriend had assaulted his girlfriend.
Jose Rafael Guerra was located and arrested for assault family violence.
Also Dec. 24, an officer responded to the 600 block of South Eagle Street for a 9-1-1 call.
Deputies arrived and heard yelling at the front door. It was determined that the wife, Avery Michele Kelsey, assaulted her husband and therefore was arrested for assault family violence.
Later Tuesday, an officer responded to the 500 block of Lady Bird Drive for a welfare concern.
The officer arrived and detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the residence.
Wyatt Austin Shifflett-Dileo was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana.
On Saturday, Dec. 28, an officer responded to the 300 block of North Llano for a possible intoxicated driver.
The officer located the vehicle and determined the driver was intoxicated.
Felipe Antonio Rivera, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
On Friday, Dec. 27, an officer responded to the Gillespie Livestock Co. for a possible burglary.
When officers arrived, a windowpane had been broken out of the front door.
The officer observed receipts on the floor and a cash register was missing. Case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division.
On Saturday, Dec. 28, an officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Sunset Street for recovery of several different cards in the roadway.
The officer was able to located the victim, who no longer lived in town but had lived in the area.
The victim reported that their purse had been stolen from their vehicle, but there were no signs of forced entry.
The next day, the officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Fulton Street to a purse that was found in the bushes. No items were inside it and it was determined that it was the purse that had been stolen the day before.
On Sunday, Dec. 29, an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of West Live Oak for a burglary of a vehicle.
The complainant told the officer that a coin holder was taken out with an unknown amount of change in it. It also included a brown satchel with two to four blank checks inside. Case is being forwarded to the CID.
On Monday, Dec. 23, an officer was dispatched to Walmart, 1435 East Main Street, for a theft of merchandise.
The suspect left the premise and charges are pending.
Later Monday, an officer spoke to a complainant about stolen login information.
The case was classified as a civil matter and the complainant was advised to not give out personal information.
On Thursday, Dec. 26, an officer was dispatched to Walmart for a report of tag switching at the self-checkout.
The incident was observed on Monday, Dec. 23 and the case will be forwarded to CID for possible charges.
On Friday, Dec. 27, an officer was dispatched to K-Bob’s, 518 East Main Street, for theft.
The complainant said that when they were done eating, they noticed that a tarp on their trailer was lifted and a piece of luggage was missing.
Case forwarded to CID.
On Sunday, Dec. 29, an officer was dispatched to the 600 block of North Pine Street for theft.
The complainant told the officer their Yeti Cooler was stolen from their front porch during the night of Dec. 28. The cooler contained vacuum sealed beef steaks. The officer found fingerprints on some of the tools that had been sitting on the cooler. Case forwarded to the CID.
Fredericksburg Police Department responded to 207 calls for service and made 159 traffic stops for the week of Dec. 23-29.
