REMEMBERING A PRESIDENT

Body
Luci Johnson and her husband, Ian Turpin, pay their respects after placing a wreath on the grave of the late Lyndon B. Johnson on Thursday to mark the 112th birthday of the former president who is buried in the family cemetery located on the LBJ Ranch in the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park at Stonewall. The annual Wreath Laying Ceremony is usually open to the public; however, this year, the commemorations of the president’s birth were held as part of a virtual program hosted by LBJ Presidential Library Director Mark Lawrence due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Other events included a wreath laying at the LBJ Memorial Grove on the Potomac by Lynda Johnson Robb and tributes to President Johnson by Liberal Arts Honor Students from the University of Texas at Austin. — Photo by National Park Service/V. Cabbage would be the workhorse, the one helping you to get everything ready, while letting you know the latest news then fidgeting when everyone is sitting down and relaxing.
