Fredericksburg United Methodist Church (FUMC) donated $5,500 to the Good Samaritan Center as a continuation of a program that started in 2025. The church committed to helping six local nonprofits this year (versus four in 2025) by tithing 10% of one week’s altar offering as well as contributions from four Adult Sunday School classes. Presenting the first “tithing” check of the year to John Willome, Executive Director of The Good Samaritan Center (center), are Rev. Karen Horan, Pastor and Jim Harris, FUMC Finance Chair.
