Sharing of phone pics leads to assault on Valentine’s Day
On Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 11:28 p.m., a Fredericksburg Police Department patrol officer stopped a male driver on the 200 block of West Main Street after seeing a violation. The officer detected an odor of alcohol, but the driver stated that he had not been drinking. The patrol officer noted the subject had grass and sticker burrs on his clothing and his speech was slurred. Field sobriety tests were administered. The male driver, Chase Alexander Martinez, 25, of Corpus Christi, was arrested for driving while intoxicated second offense. He was transported to the Gillespie County Jail.
