I appreciate the opportunity to explain why I am running for District Clerk of Gillespie County. I was raised in Gillespie County by two amazing parents, Jack and Virginia Koenig. My father, a WWII veteran, worked for Southwestern Bell for 35 years. My mother, born and raised in Harper, served as a rural route mail carrier. Her father, Richard Roeder, helped establish the volunteer fire department in Harper, where he later served as the fire chief. Her mother, May Dora Keller Roeder, served as a rural route mail carrier for 40 years.
