Council delays HOT fund disbursements until Feb. 3
Gillespie County 4-H student Emerson Kirchner received a unanimous vote from Fredericksburg City Council to place an 18-gourd nesting structure on the grounds of the new City Hall East Campus. The Fredericksburg Middle School student presented his 4-H Purple Martin Conservation Project at the Tuesday, Jan. 20 city council meeting. This will allow Wrede 4-H members to monitor nests weekly from February through June and send data to the Purple Martin Conservation Association to evaluate trends in the population. — Standard-Radio Post/Christine Granados
